The Potato Museum

The ‘Museo della patata’, or potato museum, near Budrio, is dedicated to the ‘devil’s fruit’ and machines and tools dating from the beginning of the 1900s up until the 1970s.
The museum’s collection is divided into three sections: potato planting and lifting machinery, tools used for harvesting potatoes and tools used to irrigation.
The museum focuses in particular on machines and tools developed by local artisans and farmers, through their ingenuity, have created a new and unique tools. On the side of each of these there is the name of its inventor, among many of these there is the famous planter "Checci and Magli" since 1976, the queen of transplanting machines in this time.
